In the Republic of Moldova tourism is a branch of the national economy which is relatively young in comparison with other branches. The development and modernisation of this branch depend on the professional competences of specialists who work in the domain of tourism. In this context, the issue of tourist staff’s professional training is an actual one, being based on the modernisation of curricula and programmes of study, which in general reflect the structure and contents of professional tourist education. This work contains the conceptual and methodological fundamentals on which is based the modernization of strategic study acts. It were also determined the sources, factors and structural compounds of the educational contents for the tourist domain.
