The launch in 2004 of the European Neighbourhood Policy (ENP) gave a strong impetus to the visa dialogue between Moldova and the European Union (EU). By ENP this dialogue took place, especially in the EU Member States rather than at EU level. Joining the ENP Action Plan with the EU signed on February 22, 2005, significantly changed the situation in this extremely important, especially if we consider that the EU Member States work legally or illegally, at least 300 thousands of Moldovans. Cooperation on visa regime between Moldova and the European Union (EU) immediately started reviving bilateral relations between the two actors in 2010 and provided for examining the conditions necessary to liberalize the visa regime for Moldovan citizens in the EU (Schengen). Freedom of movement within the Schengen area has become a priority for the state 's domestic politics and external to an important role in this process starring agreement of EU Member States. |
