In the context of an over-increasing interest of the European Union for the Republic of Moldova, regarding the implementation of the Association Agreement, it appears the need to design an acting programme for all the upcoming changes in all society levels. Last year at the Summit in Vilnius was brought into discussion the democratic transformation in Central and Eastern Europe and the role that Moldova could play in that region and how could the important strategic relationship with the European Union support the Republic of Moldova in this effort. There is also a recognition that the Republic of Moldova has to solve some fundamental problems before claiming the benefits of democratic consolidation. |
