Reading is considered one of four basic language skills. One of the most popular informal strategies of reading skill assessment undertaken in schools is called running records. Therefore, besides scoring word reading accuracy, the teacher should also assess the overall text comprehension by student, in other words spot meaning cues, structural cues and visual cues. |
