At the moment, the right to a healthy environment is placed at an international level together with the right to development, the right to peace and the right to the common heritage of humanity, representing such those rights must benefit not only individuals, but the groups or peoples, and their realization presupposes a global cooperation, based on the notion of international solidarity. Human rights in the field of environment protection are now recognized as fundamental values that turn in to the principle of mutatis mutandis, being followed by permanent changes with reference to the state of law institutions and these changes represent the result of the necessity to guarantee these rights, regardless of the fact that currently in the specialized literature there is no consensus with regard to the name of individual human right at a certain environmental quality being frequently used names such as: the right to a healthy environment, the right to a healthy medium, the right to a healthy and ecologically balanced environment, the right to a quality environment, the right to the quality of the environment, the right to the conservation of the environment, the right to an unpolluted environment, the right to a healthy environment and protected or the right to a favorable environment. |
