In the employment relationship, a lock-out occurs when management shuts down company operations to prevent union workers from working. It is a tactic typically used by employers to hinder union organization or to gain leverage in labour disputes. In this connection, the author of the given research paper has elucidated some aspects of the legal nature of the lockout according to the labour legislation of the Republic of Moldova and other countries. |
