This article addresses a particular type of conflict of interest in the civil service – the one resulting from contradictions between political orientation of a civil servant and his job duties. Such conflict emerges when the term in the office is used to promote interests of a certain political group. Causes of this type of conflict of interest are to be analyzed in the article, as well as the manners of expressing it in case of state dignitaries or career servants. Finally, political implications for the society are to be identified as well. |
