Cert este faptul că familia reprezintă ,,nucleul instrumental” fundamental al structurii sociale mai largi, în sensul că toate celelalte instituţii depind de influenţa acesteia. În zilele noastre a fi părinte nu mai este doar o calitate dată de aducerea copiilor pe lume, vârstă sau înţelepciune, ci devine tot mai mult o responsabilitate care cere anumite competenţe. [4] Și mama, și tatăl sunt importanți pentru copilul lor, pentru dezvoltarea lui. Rolul mamei este unul evident, legătura cu ea reprezintă relația primară, cea la care copilul se va raporta permanent. Care este însă rolul tatălui? Ce înseamnă un tată implicat?

The role of the mother is obvious, the connection with her is the primary relationship that the child will permanently imitate. But what is the role of the father?
