: The technological progress of the society demands the use of appropriate classroom materials that can contribute greatly to the quality of learning experiences. In the case of more textbooks, dialogues may have to be altered, authentic texts may have to be added and more meaningful tasks may be required for purposeful language learning. Teachers are daily faced with the challenge of providing a choice of more suitable activities for their learners. This article aims to increase the use of film in teaching, to encourage more teachers to use the means of film in the classroom, to offer a welcome break to traditional teaching methods. The article demonstrates that movies offer a lesson in an entertaining format that helps to increase the level of motivation of the children, it also helps to enrich children’ vocabulary, to improve their pronunciation and to develop their conversational skills. |
