The present article deals with the analysis of a special type of stable joints of phrases - phraseological units or phraseological expressions, and from their category we have selected only the phrasologies that attest to their own substantive composition. The authors have brought examples demonstrating the presence of nouns in all phrases. Although the phraseological units form a whole by their lexical-semantic value, in the case of those who attest in their structure their own noun, we can say that the noun has a substantial role in the "decoding" of the whole as meaning, figurative or own. Studying them during the gymnasium cycle through an optional course would contribute to the development of the students' general culture, to the development of creativity and would allow the application of knowledge from different fields (history, physics, chemistry, biology, mythology), thus calling for interdisciplinarity
