Shiitake mushroom is one of the most popular edible mushroom species. It ranked second after Agaricus bisporus. Investigations were carried out at the State Agrarian University of Moldova. In our experiences we have studied the possibility of cultivating shiitake mushrooms on hardwood logs. The object of study served strain Lentinula Edodes 4080 from the company Sylvan. Woody species studied were: oak, ash, lime, hornbeam, beech, poplar. Investigations showed that the woody species studied can be used as a nutritional substrate for shiitake mushroom cultivation. Oak and lime variants showed highest degree of colonization of the substrate. But beech and hornbeam variants showed the highest harvest after seven rounds of fructification the amount of 13,12% and 11,59% respectively. |
