Rezumat

When studying the electrochemical properties of diluted suspensions of natural and modified bentonite, the correlation between the inductive component of the system’s resistance and the temperature has been established. It confirms the hypothesis on the presence of paramagnetic particles in the system, whose solubility decreases with the growth of the temperature. Active forms of oxygen, as generated in the near electrode space, can be such particles. It is shown that, in model systems, hydrogen peroxide is formed in this space due to the reversible dissociative adsorption of oxygen on platinum in the presence of a suspension electrode with proton conductivity.
