Rezumat

The following article focuses on improving teaching and learning within the biology class by integrating ICT into the process. Scientific and technological education is perceived as necessary to impart the knowledge and skills necessary for each student. Science teachers must use strategies that develop a deep scientific understanding while integrating students' research skills, solving problems and answering complex questions. The paper presents students' uses of online tools for learning biology, such as: search and research, data collection, assistance in understanding / explaining concepts, presentation of findings. and the strong relationship between the use of ICTs by students and their scientific literacy, this relationship depends on the way students use ICT and the skill level to use it.
