In this article we reflected on the archetype of maternity in the poetry of  Grigore Vieru. Throughout his life, the poet reflects on the fundamental themes of human existence: the theme of maternal principle, parental home, femininity, sacred-religious relationship, death, etc., in order to find a unique way of self-access. But of all, in the creation of the bessarabian poet, the Mother was the first, its appear an inner experience, an abyssal profoundness, an mystery that he did not fully know. And yet, it remains a mystery, the archetype of maternity, which protects his being. So, the resonance of the echo of the eternal love of the mother is felt in any word of poetry, becoming practical, a condition of existence and a primordial element in the creation of the basarabian poet.
