Culianu aromanian family roots, coming from Macedonia (province of the Ottoman Empire) in Moldova in 1700. John Peter Culianu was born in a beautiful old house, placed pe a hill somewhere in Eastern Europe. It was a descendant of intellectuals boyars from Iasi cultural and scientific center located near the Soviet border. Spending their childhood in communist world Ioan P. Culianu learned earlier that belonged to a general tradition founded, and one family at least a century old, which should not be lost in a country where intellectuals were political leaders.
