The results of determining operational properties of the newly-formed glass jars made of colorless glass have been summarized: mechanical strength, microhardness, thermostability and acid resistance. Stability of mechanical strength of the newly-formed glassware has been monitored in industrial conditions for several years. Methods of measurement of operational properties of glass jars are presented. The article also analyzes the reasons for non-correspondence of mechanical strength and thermostability of the newly-formed glass jars with the standard requirements. Ways of increasing the operational properties of the newly-formed glass jars have been presented. |
