The stimulating role of foreign direct investment in a country's economy is undeniable and widely recognized in the economic theory and practice. Investment inflows have a huge benefic influence on economy development. That is why, most of the countries continuously try to improve their investment climate in order to attract as many investors they can. However, despite the fact that all the countries try to attract foreign investors, the results are quite different. Therefore, in this article are related the negative factors and challenges that impede the attraction of foreign investment in the Republic of Moldova.
