Rezumat

The image of the winery, which is not only a place of wine production, but also of hospitality, tourism, sales, with cognitive and educational essence, determines professionals in the wine field to modernize the winery projects. Examples of organizing the space of such complexes are „Château Purcari” and „Château Vartely”, where the territorial expansion happened due to the inclusion of hotels, restaurants and relaxation zones, taking into consideration the consumer appeal through the branding as a main focus of the producer to impress the visitor with a visually pleasing architecture. Thus, the current process, subject to criteria outlined by the globalization phenomenon that is based on a new way of functioning of the complex space by including the visitor in this matrix, leads the architect to reassess the paradigms of approaching the architectural project and to adopt complex formulas to customize the wineries. Starting with this new mission in mind, we will try to identify the ways these circumstances affected the architecture of these two wineries, which are famous both nationally and internationally.
