This scientific papers reflects a detailed study of the reproductive behavior of amphibian females of the green frogs complex (Rana ridibunda, R. lessonae, R. esculenta) from the natural ecosystems in the Center Area of the Republic of Moldova. This study has been finalized with the elucidation of very important biological and ecological particularities, which consists in the gradual arrival of the females in the breeding stations where the males are located, throughout the reproductive period. This reproductive feature of females represent, in fact, an indispensable component of a more ample original ecolo- ethological mechanism, designed to ensure reproductive success and, at the same time, to solve the interspecific competition of amphibians for reproductive habitats.
