Extending and diversifying the use of substances of anthropogenic origin (technogenic) and, in particular, of surfactants are currently taking place. Because of the antibacterial properties, cationic surfactants have a severe negative impact on natural self-purification in the aquatic environment. Previous research has demonstrated the preferential fixation of high-chain fatty acid (RCOO-) surfactants or, for example, with C12H25SO4 - lauryl sulfate on CaCO3 particles, granite substrates and expanded clay. Thus, these substrates support the process of oxidation of reduced nitrogen forms in natural surface waters. The effect was observed in both small and large river water on sections with different levels of pollution. This can be explained by the fact that in the presence of ammonium limestone particles can have increased load flexibility on their surface by separately fixing both anionic and cationic surfactants. |
