In this article is examined the issue of history’s periodization of relations between the Soviet state and religious Denominations. 11 rounds have been identified: 1. 1917-1918 – transitional phase, leaving the old relations between the State and Religion; 2. 1918- 1929 – stage of development of new legislation on religious denominations; 3. 1929- 1934 – the stage on finish of drafting the legislation of cults; 4. 1934-1938 – the Step of persecutions, the „great terror”; 5. 1938-1943 – step of weakening of the pressures and uncertainty; 6. 1943-1948 – flowering stage of relations between state and religion; 7. 1948-1954 – cooling stage of relations between State and Religion; 8. 1954-1958 – step of worsening the relations between state and religions; 9. 1958-1965 – new stage of persecutions; 10.1966-1987 – the stage of cohabitation or stagnation; 11. 1988-1991 – stage of normalization of relations between the state and religions. At the basis of periodization were put two principles: first – power institution empowered to achieve relations between the State and Religion in practice; second – legislative acts adopted in the epoch, which allows tracking logic of events chain in terms of the evolution of relations of the Soviet state and the religious cults, avoiding examination of the confessional aspect. |
