Rezumat

To gain market acceptance BIPV products must compete with other construction products in terms of costs, performance and visual appearance. SMART-FLeX project is targeting these issues proposing integrated solution for glass façade buildings design, flexible manufacturing and cost effective installation of tailored design BIPV products according architect’s vision. This way SMART-FLeX is demonstrating feasibility and cost effectiveness of integrated approach in BIPV products implementation for particular BIPV application in construction business – namely for glass façade buildings. SMART-FLeX project is focusing on steps which are of main importance for cost effectiveness and market acceptance of the BIPV product, namely a) attractive to architects and designers building design tools implementation, b) automated production of custom design BIPV elements and c) cost effective integration of BIPV elements into the building and building electricity grid.   Integrated approach proposed by the SMART-FLeX is linking building design process and BIPV product implementation by means of production line of increased flexibility when automated production of PV products with tailored PV module design according architect’s vision becomes feasible.
