It has been shown that cardboard tree trapping bands equipped with dispensers with 11-component synthetic aggregation pheromone exhibit a higher efficiency, as compared to the 8-component, when catching codling moth larvae that go to hibernation in both apple and quince gardens. This fact, as well as the results of previously performed laboratory tests, is explained by the slowing down of the loss of aggregating activity of the synthetic pheromone mixture under the influence of the introduced three “additional“components. |
