The main issues facing young families in Republic of Moldova are: lack of financial resources for a decent living, lack of own housing or inappropriate living conditions, lack of stable places to work, leaving partner work abroad, etc. From total of 600 interviewed young families only half of them (50.8%) were provided with their own apartment or house. 19.8% should rent an apartment. A significant number (25%) live with their parents. Several previous studies have shown that cohabitation is traumatic for young couples. The most frequently occurring conflicts young families several times per month 22.7%. Depending on the duration of the marriage conflicts occur more frequently each day since the third year of marriage, this can be explained by the fact that in this period most young families already have the first child.
