Rezumat

In journalism everything starts with a piece of news, which is the main form of journalistic expression. Unlike the news radio, TV or newspapers, the news agencies attempt to outline an overview of all the events that took place in a period of time. In order to see how news is treated in different media agencies in our country we have initiated an investigation which had as objectives: to determine the specificity of different agencies in the drafting of social news. Thus, between 1 November 2008-31 March 2009 eight news agencies have been subject to monitoring both the quantitative aspect as well as qualitatively. These are: "Info-Prim-Neo”, “Infotag”, “Reporter.MD”, “Deca-press", "Interlic”, “Basa-press”, “Moldpres" and "Omega". Investigation results revealed a number of conclusions, some of which are: most social news was provided by the agency Info-Prim-Neo; the proportion between social, political and economic news is best equilibrated for the last 2 agencies; reporters commit many mistakes related both to ethical and professional standards, as well as language mistakes, and most of the news are not suited for the online environment.
