Considered as an upward lever, the direct stance of the common development of all nations, but at the same time different for countries and at different stages, seems inadequate for the 21st century. The gap between the rich and poor nations and the differences between the social classes does not diminish, but on the contrary grow. Even if there is an explosion in economic development and all human communities of most countries will have a decent living, and GDP will be satisfactory, the question arises: what will happen to the planetary ecosystem following increased demands on natural resources and how will the ability to absorb the environment become? |
