Migration has become a constant concern for more and more countries, a constant of global policies. As Thomas Nail said, the 21st century will be „the century of the migrant”, when the displacement of people becomes more indispensable for various reasons. Migration, population displacements, generate global change, not just at the regional level, country of origin or destination. Migration, as a generator of social change, has been analyzed by several researchers. They referred to the social and cultural capital of immigrants, to the impact on institutions, but also the acquisition of the nationality of the host country, the right to vote, involvement in the political system, etc. In this context of social transformation, second generations have a special role. |
