Rezumat

Evaluation of global experience in the field of MDM has demonstrated that advanced medical devices are an indispensabl e part of medical care in the prevention, diagnosis and correct treatment of diseases. There effectively use requires, as a priority, increase the number of investigations and cost effectiv, qualitative treatmentWith the support of the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation through PERINAT and REPEMOL projects, were analyzed all existing procedures, related to the Medical Devices Management (MDM) at the hospital level, were defined the required set of procedures and were developed model of procedures for management and Medical device management, which were originally implemented in the Mother and Child Institute. Department of Medical Engineering was founded, which provides optimal conditions for Institute of Mother and Child acquisitions of the quality, effective and safe medical devices which ensures quality of medical services; also this department organize complex measures and other activities of daily maintenance and repair of medical devices. In the same context, was set up pilot center - "Management of Medical Technologies," on the basis of Mother and Child Institute jointly with the Technical University of Moldova, which aims to design and develop Medical Devices Management procedures models according to international standards, to develop maintenance , diagnosis and medical devices repair procedures. MDM evaluation results at the medical institution have shown positive impact in effective use of medical devices, reducing costs of maintaining medical devices by domestic timely adequate services, increase cost - efficiency and safety of care.
