Rezumat

Review paper is dedicated to the role of mediator amino acids as the regulators of metabolism in the central nervous system and in the processes of normal functioning of the human organism. The special features of free amino acids exchange in the brain are examined. There are given determination and characteristics of the separate exciting and braking amino acids. Is shown the role of the sulfur-containing amino acids in the metabolic processes of the brain, and also the amino acids - predecessors of mediators. Is made the conclusion that the properties of nervous system are caused by the relationship of the free exciting and brake mediator amino acids, and also by the stability of this relationship in the process of interaction with the environment.
