In a number of works Brzezinski is trying to prove that Russia initiated the creation of the CIS on the ruins of the Soviet Union in the 90's of XX century. – it is the attempt of restoration the Empire, which collapsed because of the position of Ukraine. Ukrainian leaders showed determination and offered the alternative to the CIS – GUAM (GUUAM), which made the Commonwealth «dying fiction». |
