Rezumat

The quantity of distilled spirits lees (DSL) is very huge in China. Improper disposal of DSL could cause environmental pollution. The present study aimed at finding an efficient method to deal with DSL. Rice husk ash could be prepared as cement additive after incineration under controlled conditions. It provides a new idea for resource utilization of DSL. Five different distilled spirits lees ash (DSLA) samples were obtained in muffle furnace and fluidized bed (FB) at different temperatures. The properties of DSL and DSLA were characterized by special surface area and SEM. Mortar specimens blended with different DSLA which replacement was 10% by mass were prepared for strength test. Criss-cross mesh sheets structure in DSLA were observed. The results indicated that the special surface areas of different DSLA were relevant to micro-morphology. All the DSLA obtained in this work except which obtained in FB at 800℃ could be made as cement additive to increase the compressive and flexural strength of mortar.
