Rezumat

Pulsed laser deposition (PLD) technique is used for epitaxial deposition of thin films based on glass doped with CdS powder. The glass target was previously heat treated at 550 oC and 600 oC for 2h, in order to initiate the dopant growth process. Ablation experiments were run using KrF excimer laser, λex =248 nm. The experiments were carried out in vacuum at different substrate temperatures and laser energy. The effect of the substrate temperature during deposition and laser energy impinging the target on the dopant particle structure and morphology was studied by micro-Raman and Fourier Transform Infrared Spectroscopy (FTIR). The stoichiometry and morphology of the deposited films related to the target was investigated by SEM-EDX analysis (Scanning Electron Microscopy-Energy Dispersive Spectroscopy).
