Rezumat | |||||
Electro-spark deposition process has been already recognized as an economically effective surface coating method. It requires a simple and low cost equipment to run a process. Furthermore mechanical and tribological properties of the coatings deposited using elektro-spark deposition (ESD) method is very promising. Deposited coatings in many cases exhibit improved mechanical and tribological properties compared with a substrate. When coatings are secondary treated they get smoother surface and amorfous structure. This paper rewievs the investigations conducted on different substrates using different deposition materials using ESD method as well as mechanical and tribological properties obtained. In specific, the review includes: the role of ESD method to enhance metal surface mechanical and tribological characteristics. There is a strong sense to apply this method wider improving the mechanical and tribological properties of metal surfaces. |
