The recognition and enforcement of arbitral awards are the central effects of the foreign arbitral awards. The foreign arbitral awards pronounced in the arbitral procedure accomplished abroad or pronounced in the causes with a foreign origin, may be acknowledged, executed or contested on the national territory, according to the rules established by the international legislation in the field and according to the own regulations of the countries where these decisions are to be executed. In order to acknowledge and allow the execution of the foreign arbitral decisions, it is required to accomplish a series of conditions that are to be checked by the court where the respective decision is to be executed. |
