The principle of asylum has been recognized since the beginning of the Christian era. However its legalization has experienced a difficult history. Given the realities of different historical periods on this basis has developed and evolved the concept of asylum at the state level, meaning the extent that the receiving State takes in respect of asylum seekers. The situation will change in the XIX-th and XX-th century, which will be called by some theorists „refugees century”. |
