The purpose of our research was to study the structure of species and variety diversity of agricultural crops of Moldavian selection in Ukraine and analyze the dynamics of filing applications for plant varieties for the purpose of state registration. According to the goal of the research, the following tasks were envisaged: to implement the structure of species and varieties of agricultural crops of the Moldovan selection in the Register of Plant Varieties of Ukraine; to show the quantitative ratio of filed applications for plant varieties in Ukraine for the purpose of registering rights for variety. According to the results of the analysis of the representation of varieties of Moldovan selection in the Register of Plant Varieties of Ukraine, it was established that their number is 24. Among them, the largest group are the varieties Helianthus annuus L., it is 62.5% of the number of varieties that are maintained in the Register of Plant Varieties of Ukraine. The other varieties of plants are represented by single varieties of vegetable group, grape cultivar, walnut, rhodiola rosea and range from 4.1 to 12,5% of the number of varieties that are maintained in the Register of Plant Varieties of Ukraine. Based on research results of filed applications for plant varieties, it was established that they were created by a common selection by Ukraine and Moldova, and account for 81.2% of the total number of plant varieties submitted over the last five years. |
