Over many decades Onisifor Ghibu has been marked by the cultural-pedagogical contribution made to the incorporation of pedagogy into the essence of all programs, disciplines, guidelines of all school and public manifestations, which are specific to our people approaching the most difficult problems of the national school (the organizational unit of the school, the teacher training, the elaboration of the textbooks, the defense of the schools in the face against the tendencies of denationalization, the teaching in Romanian, etc.). Onisifor Ghibu, through his pedagogical concepts has demonstrated the importance of close ties between education and society. He has identified the positive effect upon the completion of the unitary state can have on education, he has thoroughly argued the link between citizen training, national consciousness and the need for an own pedagogy, clearly specifying the purpose and functions of national pedagogy. Onisifor Ghibu has been devoted his entire work to a unique and precise purpose: to establish a Romanian pedagogy, starting from the national character. |
