Rezumat

The present paper deals with the pollution problem in aquatic systems. The importance of mathematical and numerical modeling for obtaining the pollutants concentration field in time and space is being discussed. A case study concerning the determination of the spatio-temporal evolution of pollutants on a sector of the Prut river in Ungheni is presented.
