Rezumat

Big data technologies provide a unique opportunity to get a fairly accurate sampling of data necessary for target application from within a larger data set, which can be and is useful in the work of small to largescale enterprises, as well is of great importance to researchers and scientists. With regard to the application in different sectors of economy, particularly the financial sector, these technologies and techniques help to generate analyses and forecasts on the basis of the dry data sampled from within a large amount and not on abstract theories and predictions. Big data have been applied in many areas of business, starting with the mining industry and ending with the financial sector. The use of technologies for processing large sets of data enables optimization of the operating performance of the enterprise, and the higher is the turnover of the company, the higher is the efficiency of this technology. Virtually, all financial institutions seek to obtain operational data to optimize their business activity and maximize profits. With regard to the customer management big data enable the continuous monitoring of the activities of the departments which are directly or indirectly related to the customer service, detecting the main causes of arising problems, thus eliminating and preventing the possible negative consequences both for the organization and the customer.
