Teza

The folklore texts reflect a “world picture” of people (the external one – natural and social, and the internal – moral and psychological representations), as well as their attitude to different aspects of this world i.e. his axiological paradigm, values. Song folklore of the Bulgarians from the Republic of Moldova and Ukraine is a rich source for depicting various sides of their ethnic world view. The lexical analysis of these folklore texts shows the social life of a man in its variety. The “external man” is a member of different social groups; the lexicon, which reflects social nomination, is presented by some thematic groups. The very diverse and rich thematic group is the “social status of a man” (high or low). A separate lexical group nominates the military activity. The most numerous lexical group presents the nomination of different types of professional activity. The representatives of condemned social activities are nominated as well. The lexical units of each group have, besides common semantic, some contextual connotative and imaginative content. Most of the time it provokes the formation of some ethnospecific cultural concepts. As Bulgarians in Moldova and Ukraine lived for a long time in diasporas, the song folklore clearly reflected these realities as well. Some more recent historical realities are reflected in lexical units too (such as солдатин, махновци, рота, капитанче, шофьорче). It is important to emphasize that all detected nominations reflect the activity of men. The women’s social activity outside the family is represented by some isolated nominations only (магьосница, знайница, врачка).
