В статье анализируется состояние украинской энергетики на современном этапе, выделяя существующие проблемы в ядерной энергетике. Это и вопросы связанные с поставкой ядерного топлива для украинских АЭС, и обращение с радиоактивными отходами. Обращается внимание и на то, что в ближайшие годы из 15 действующих на Украине энергетических реакторов для 10 завершается срок проектной эксплуатации.  Автор считает, что украинские национальные интересы все более настоятельно требует частичного восстановления отношений с РФ посредством активизации деятельности в рамках СНГ. Однако нынешнее руководство страны упорно старается этого не замечать. По-видимому, ситуация в этой области может измениться к лучшему только после замены на Украине правящей элиты, в том числе в рамках российско-американского диалога.

The article examines the state of the Ukrainian energy sector at the present stage, highlighting the existing problems in the nuclear power industry. Meanwhile, the article covers issues related to the supply of nuclear fuel for Ukrainian nuclear power plants, and the management of radioactive waste. Particular attention is drawn to the fact that in the coming years for 10 of the 15 operating power reactors in Ukraine the term of the project operation is completed.  The author believes that Ukrainian national interests urgently require partial restoration of relations with the Russian Federation through activization of activities within the CIS. However, the current leadership of the country stubbornly tries not to notice this. Apparently, the situation in this area can change for the better only after the replacement of the ruling elite in Ukraine, including within the framework of the Russian-American dialogue

În articol este analizată starea sectorului energetic ucrainean la etapa contemporană, evidențiind problemele existente în domeniul energiei nucleare, inclusiv și problemele legate de furnizarea de combustibil nuclear pentru staţiile electrice nucleare ucrainene, cât și gestionarea deșeurilor radioactive. Se atrage atenția și asupra faptului că, în următorii ani, din cele 15 reactoare energetice nucleare existente în Ucraina pentru 10 se încheie termenul de proiect de exploatare.  Autorul consideră că interesele naționale ale Ucrainei tot mai insistent necesită o recuperare parțială a relațiilor cu Federația Rusă, prin intermediul intensificării activității în cadrul CSI. Cu toate acestea, actuala conducere a țării încearcă să nu observe situaţia creată. Aparent, situația în acest domeniu se poate schimba în mai bine doar după înlocuirea în Ucraina a elitei de conducere, inclusiv în cadrul dialogului ruso-american..
