In this article the author examines the legal aspect of the condition in which an employer in the Republic of Moldova can obtain the right to hire a foreign labor force. According to the provisions of Law no. 180 on labor migration, the basic condition for employment of foreign labor is the existence of the employer’s need for skilled labor that can not be found at the local level. The author discusses the concept of „qualified work” in terms of internal legislation, offering a series of characteristics and reaching relevant conclusions regarding labor supply and demand on the Moldovan labor market. |
