The article examines some aspects concerning the relationship between political power and technocracy in the context of a society under transformation. Some attention is paid to the analysis of the place and the role of political power in the system of power relations. Also, the author identifies some relevant trends in the development of political power in the context of new developments in contemporary society. It concludes that a government of technocrats is not a viable / sustainable solution for the societies under democratic transformation and political modernization, from well known reasons. Building a democratic state implies the ability of political and administrative corpus to perform the essential functions of a successful governance. |
