Rezumat

This study tries to demonstrate that while rejecting the excesses of Me and the ordinary romantic lyrical effusions, Alfred de Vigny enrolled his poetry in a kind illo tempore, because between the classicism of his poetry and his aspirations of frozen purity, calculated and perfectionist, adjacent to Parnassus, the poet comes flooding his art with the more moralistic philosophy, but also, fortunately, with the most alive and real romantic enthusiasm. The Death of the Wolf is the real poem of the true nobility, of the stoicism and the resignation (but not without a fight!), of the death, but a death with a sense (since the sacrifice of the Wolf saves his family), even more, this poem is the allegory of the man of genius, dear obsession of all romantics from all periods of time and from all cultural spaces. Vigny never wrote anything most romantic and sincere that this long narrative poem in three parts.
