Rezumat | |||||
Literature is an art of the word, of the writer, a field of aesthetic values, the word being invested with the attribute of freedom. In a literary work, words can express anything other than what contains its basic meaning or even the opposite, depending on the author's mastery or the cultural codes of each society. Some literary works overwhelm the reader through the multitude of events and depths of recorded experiences, creating the feeling of being in front of real worlds like the one he lives in; having a great power of encompassing the inner world of man, meaning truthful historical or spiritual documents of the era under discussion in which all nations are found. Universal literature is a common, defining and representative heritage of humanity, summing up the most enlightening literary works of small literature that have preserved national specificity, but also those literary creations, classical works that contain testimonies of human genius, raising questions of order existential, trying to give answers or solutions. Throughout history, literature has assumed a number of functions, insisting on the educational and instructive one, literary works constituting true codes of conduct or, on the contrary, nomenclatures of human vices. |
