The article treats the issues of bibliographic resources cataloguing in the context of the appearance of ISBD Consolidated, developed by the Group for the revision of ISBD, Cataloging Section, IFLA, and published in 2007 (Preliminary edition) and in 2010 (Revised edition). There is specified the opportunity and the importance of the production of this document, which contains Cataloging Rules for all types of bibliographic resources issued by IFLA up to 2007 as separate standards recommended to describe each type of bibliographic resources. The examples of bibliographic description of various types of resources are presented in accordance with IFLA publication “Full ISBD Examples. Preliminary edition” in order to familiarize librarians in the region with the changes that have occurred in the cataloging of bibliographic resources.
