Rezumat

During the first Soviet occupation, through their editorial policy, the Kremlin authorities contributed to the emergence of a large number of works written in the spirit of Marxist-Leninist ideology, which tried to prove that the Romanian territories to the east of the Prut were inhabited mainly by Moldavians who were related to eastern Slavs, implying that these lands belonged to the Russian state. Thus, the Romanian state was permanently discredited. Moreover, all the works that approached the history of the region were written only by Transnistrian writers, who were educated in the spirit of Soviet imperial ideology. That shows that the occupants had no confidence in the Bessarabian population. In order to treat the events in the spirit of the imperial values and in accordance with the annexation interests of the USSR, all synthesis works which justified the expansion were edited in Moscow. With regard to domestic works, thousands of copies brought from the Transnistrian region were distributed free. In Chisinau only translations of various art works which had a propaganda purpose were published. The translation was made only by Transnistrian specialists.
