New paradigms in the field of safeguarding of intangible cultural heritage represent, for the Republic of Moldova, a model and current example, implemented and proposed by the European Union states – holders of living human treasures as well as relics of historical and cultural memory of the world. The process of safeguarding of cultural heritage includes several directions of activity. One of them, undertaken to halt the process of degradation of cultural heritage, is a modern and efficient conservation and enhancement of it. Another is a reanimation of the field investigations with the aim to identify those existed treasures, that hold an exceptional collective memory that is capable to transmit a specific constituent of intangible heritage to younger generation, thus helping to ensure its viability. The facilities in this area are ensured by implementation of modern communication and information technologies, that can allow advanced (in comparison with the last century) preservation measures work.
