It is not a novelty that the Romanian language spoken on TV or radio is below the academic norm. However, both the concern to present news and information in a correct linguistic form and the awareness of the norm existence are quite obvious. Fear of mistaking, the tendencies to possess a good knowledge of Romanian literary language, on the one hand, ignorance, perfunctoriness, rush, on the other hand, lead to hypercorrection, a frequent phenomenon in the audiovisual language – a mistake due to the exaggerated preoccupation of the speaker to express himself correctly. A hypercorrect word, from on construction is, in fact, a wrong one.
