The groups Gl;m;n are studied extensively by Coxeter. Higman has posed the question that how small l; m; n can be made while maintaining the property that all but _nitely many alternating and symmetric groups are quotients of Gl;m;n. In this paper, by using the coset diagrams, we have proved that for all but _nitely many positive integers n either An or Sn are quotients of G5;5;12: |
